Bloc And NDP Vote To Keep Trudeau In Power For Longer

Ottawa, ON – After nine years of Justin Trudeau, taxes are up, costs are up, crime’s up, and time is up. But instead of ending Trudeau’s failed government and giving Canadians the opportunity to vote in a carbon tax election, the Bloc and the NDP voted today to extend and expand their costly coalition.

This is not the first time that Jagmeet Singh and the NDP have sold out Canadians. First, they sold out working Canadians by signing up to the costly carbon tax coalition that taxed Canadians’ food, doubled their housing costs, punished their work with taxes, and unleashed crime in Canada’s once-safe communities.

Then, he told Canadians that he was “tearing up” his coalition with Justin Trudeau. But as soon as the by-election had finished in Winnipeg, he taped the coalition back together again, and sold out working Canadians by voting to keep Trudeau in power twice in two weeks. The costly coalition didn’t end when Singh tore up his agreement – it just got bigger.

Now, Trudeau also has the support of the Bloc, who are also letting down Quebecers by promising they’ll keep Trudeau in power. They are doing this, even though the NDP-Liberal government has added 100,000 more bureaucrats while spending $10 billion on high-priced outside consultants, who have invaded Quebec’s jurisdiction. The Bloc have even ignored the Premier of Quebec’s demand to stop protecting Justin Trudeau.

Canadians will have the chance to vote in a carbon tax election and Conservatives will continue to fight for it. It’s time for the Bloc and the NDP to stop boosting carbon taxes and protecting this costly Prime Minister so Canadians can choose to axe the tax and bring home a Common Sense Conservative government.
