Newsletter – March 31
Presidents and princes, budgets and bills. Between Ottawa and Thornhill, there hasn’t been a single dull moment. After all, someone has to hold these Liberals accountable and stand up for our community.
Last Friday, President Joe Biden visited Parliament. It was an opportunity to emphasize that we need to bring home more powerful paycheques for Canadians and that our partnership with the U.S. should exempt Canada from Buy American policies. We need to get a deal on softwood lumber, protect our borders, and fight for good, clean Canadian energy to be what the Americans buy.
He wasn’t the only world leader that we met with – Prince Reza Pahlavi visited Toronto and I was honoured to meet him alongside Pierre Poilievre. I committed to him that our work to amplify the voice of the revolution will not stop and that I will continue to fight until we see a Free Iran, and most importantly, a government that bans the regime’s terrorists who are here in Canada.
In another exciting (albeit disappointing) measure, the Liberals tabled their budget this week. It’s the latest battle in the Liberal War on Work and it shows that they aren’t listening to anyone who is having problems buying groceries, heating a home, or paying a mortgage. Take a look below for my thoughts on it.
Also in Parliament – debate continues on Communist Beijing’s interference in our elections and the Liberal censorship law, Bill C-11. Unfortunately on both, the Liberals continue to shut down debate and ignore the voices of Canadians asking hard questions and calling for accountability.
As we move towards Passover and Easter, I’m reminded of how special our community is and how lucky I am to serve as your MP. There have been a lot of amazing events in the past two weeks and it’s a privilege to have been a part of them as your voice in Parliament. I hope the upcoming holidays are joyous for you and your family, however you all may celebrate.
In your corner,

Budget 2023
Budget 2023 was released by Justin Trudeau and Chrystia Freeland this week. It continues their record of higher taxes and inflationary deficits. It’s time to make Canada work for the people who do the work and let you bring home more of what you earn.
Here’s our plan:
- Bring home powerful paycheques with lower taxes, so hard work pays off again.
- Bring home lower prices, by ending inflationary carbon tax hikes & deficit spending that drive up inflation & interest rates.
- Bring homes people can afford, by removing government gatekeepers to free up land and speed up building permits.
The Liberals think taxes need to be even higher and the federal government needs to be even bigger. Conservatives think that it’s time for powerful paycheques and powerful citizens.
Here’s my take from the studio:
Protecting Our Elections
The Communist Party of China interfered in our elections with the specific goal of electing Liberals and defeating Conservatives. You deserve answers to your questions, and you deserve to have confidence in Canadian democracy.
Have a look to see what I’m doing on your behalf:
What did the Prime Minister know, and when did he know it? Canadians deserve the truth – we won’t accept anything less. Watch my speech here:
It’s been revealed that Beijing interfered in our elections. We want answers – but the Liberals are hiding from the committee. What is the Prime Minister hiding? And why is the NDP letting him?
There’s only one way to get to the bottom of this. With an open. Public. Independent. Inquiry. Now.
I was honoured to meet the Crown Prince of Iran, Reza Pahlavi. We talked about our commitment to help the Iranian nation courageously fight for freedom. It was a productive meeting to reinforce our steadfast support as Conservatives fight to ban the IRGC terrorists, apply additional sanctions, and amplify the voice of the revolution.
Liberal M.P. Rob Oliphant needs to apologize to Canadians and supporters of a Free Iran everywhere for his embarrassing display of disrespect to courageous activists this Saturday.
Working for you in Thornhill
I got to share a little bit about politics and community leadership with the students at Netivot HaTorah Day School. I also took lots of thoughtful questions about the rise in antisemitism, my role in politics, and how decisions are made in . I would do this 1000 more times if I could – these teens are

Let’s continue to champion the spirit of free speech.
I was thrilled to drop the puck for the ceremonial faceoff, see the incredible talent on the ice, and meet all the families cheering in the stands at the Kiddush Cup Championship game of the JCC Chai Sports Hockey league in Thornhill.
Working for you in Ottawa
Thanks to the Nepean Conservative association for having me out. People in our own capital are fed up with Justin Trudeau’s corrupt government and are more than ready for change. Here’s to turning Nepean blue in the next election!
It was great to be featured with some of the brightest minds on foreign policy in our movement at the Canada Strong and Free Networking Conference.
I had the honour of meeting with prominent members of the Turkish human rights community in Ottawa, including NBA basketball player Enes Freedom. I heard tragic stories of the atrocious crimes in his home country and the work that needs to be done to help others in still danger.
I welcomed the Reform Rabbis of Canada to the Hill alongside CIJA, who came to Parliament to advocate on behalf of their congregants across the country. Some Thornhill representation in the house too.
