Happy Halloween!

Here’s hoping you got your fill of candy, fun costumes, and maybe even a friendly scare or two.

But do you know what’s really scary,? The state of Canada’s budget and debt after 9 years of Liberal government.

They’re spending nearly 500 billion dollars of your money every year — good enough for a deficit of 40 billion dollars.

The addiction to burning through other people’s money runs so deep in Ottawa that Chrystia Freeland somehow figured out a way to overspend by 17%.

At this rate, our children and grandchildren will be paying for Trudeau’s spending for many, many years to come, meaning higher taxes and fewer important government services. We already spend more on debt than on healthcare or our military.

It can’t go on like this: Pierre Poilievre and our common-sense Conservative team have a plan to fix the budget so you can keep what you earn and so we can bring home a country we’re proud to leave to our kids.

Yours,

Melissa Lantsman
Member of Parliament for Thornhill

Spent some time chatting immigration, housing, and economy with stakeholders from across the education sector.

Thank you for sharing your goals, achievements, and concerns with me.

So great to chat with middle and high school students at Temple Emanu-El. They truly have some great questions and ideas for our schools, communities, and our country.

They are the people who are making a difference by combating hate and antisemitism – and we need to stand behind and support them. 💪💪

Thank you to Rabbi Debra Landsberg and the team for having me.

Celebrating seniors, culture and community in Vaughan at this year’s annual CultureFest 🎉

Thank you to Ester and the SAVI team for putting together this amazing event showcasing the many cultural seniors clubs that make our city – and our country – the very best.

It’s always a great time with thousands in our community at Unity Simchas Bais Hashoeiva 🎉 Thank you to Rabbi Spalter, Levi, and Dovid for making this event happen — filled with community spirit and celebration. And thanks to all of YOU for welcoming me year after year.

I promised you better days ahead with a new Prime Minister to stand strong with us — and not against us.

Alongside the Iranian-Canadian community, I honoured Cyrus the Great and his story of revolutionary leadership, respect, and his declaration of human rights that inspired the world.

It seems that today we are very far from Cyrus’ legacy, but know I will always stand beside the people of Iran, who continue to fight for freedom against the tyrants in Tehran.

Celebrating the 27th Anniversary of the twinning of the City of Vaughan and Baguio City in the Philippines and all the culture and community this relationship has fostered. Thank you always to my friend Erlinda and the Filipino-Canadian Association of Vaughan for having me. Mabuhay!

Welcomed my friends from the Catholic Community Services of York Region to Ottawa to talk with Michelle Ferreri and I about how our current government is meeting the needs of newcomers, seniors, refugees, and others in the GTA. Short answer: they’re not.

People are struggling to find jobs, homes, and services needed to keep up in a country where taxes keep going up, skyrocketing the cost of living. Conservatives WILL bring home jobs and affordability to restore the Canadian promise.

The story of the Prime Minister’s failed record on foreign interference. Justin Trudeau’s weak leadership has allowed foreign interference to unfold on our streets and in our democratic process. Conservatives are asking one thing: release the names.

Canadians deserve to know. Release the names.

Happy to spend a beautiful fall evening in Stormont-Dundas-South Glengarry with my good friend Eric Duncan and some of SDG’s best. Thank you to the Philips family for sharing your beautiful farm (and apple pie) with us 🍎🍂

In this Liberal government when you destroy something, instead of getting fired — you get a promotion.

Celebrating faith, family, and freedom with Filipinos across Canada on Parliament Hill last week.

Delighted to be among so many friends!

When will the Housing Minister move out of fantasy land and join Conservatives in the real world – maybe where he can buy a house with our common sense tax cut.
