If you’re celebrating, wishing you a good and sweet new year and all the best in 5784.
Things were busy here in Thornhill with the long weekend and the return of school. I am inspired every day by the people that I get to meet right here in our community.
Along the way, there was also a surprise in the National Post….take a look below to see what it was.
Looking to the future: Parliament resumes for its fall sitting this Monday. I’m eagerly anticipating my return to Ottawa to continue our work to stand up for all Canadians.

Working Hard in Thornhill
Thank you to the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office for inviting me and Anna Roberts for a breakfast meeting.
It was an honour to meet with legislators from Taiwan and discuss our shared commitments to freedom and democracy and how we can grow our relationship, economic ties and commitment to peace and security.
I joined the End Jew Hatred Conference, where the resounding message of Stronger Together reconfirmed our commitment to fighting against hate together.
I will always be the strongest voice in Parliament standing up against antisemitism.
I honoured Mahsa Amini at a beautiful event with members of the Iranian community.
As the anniversary of her tragic death approaches, we must never forget her. We must continue to fight for women, life, and freedom, wherever they may be threatened.
Finished off the weekend with the Thornhill Woods Shul BBQ – enjoyed the conversations with many neighbours and friends.
