Latest from Lantsman – September 27, 2024
This week, Conservatives introduced two non-confidence motions in this Prime Minister and his costly coalition.
The Liberals, the Bloc, and the NDP all chose to stand and declare confidence in Justin Trudeau — even after he’s raised your taxes, double the price of a home, and unleashed crime and chaos on our streets.
It’s safe to say that there are really only two political parties left in Canada — those who support the Prime Minister, and the one who opposes him.
While the NDP, the Bloc, and the Liberals blindly stand behind the failed leadership of Justin Trudeau in pursuit of self-interested political objectives, common-sense Conservatives will always stand up for you.
We will keep fighting to hold this Prime Minister to account, and we’ll keep fighting to lower your taxes, lower the price of a home, and keep you safe from out-of-control drugs and crime.
We will continue to push for a carbon tax election because it’s clear that Canadians just can’t hold on much longer. It’s time to let Canadians weigh in – it’s time to send this Prime Minister and his cronies packing.
Yours,
Melissa Lantsman
Member of Parliament for Thornhill

In recent court filings, the United Nations has argued that UNRWA employees who participated in rape and murder on October 7th are immune any legal accountability. This is an outrageous perversion of justice.
I stood to ask the government a simple yes or no question – do they support immunity for terrorists?
They couldn’t even answer.
Women, Life, Freedom
It’s been 2 years since the brutal murder of Jina Mahsa Amini. Her murder exposed the worst of the terrorist IRGC regime for the world to see, and awoke a global movement for women, life, and for freedom. This is how we honour her memory — with former political prisoners, community, and friends.
I also attended the rally on Parliament Hill in Ottawa – this government needs to listen to everyone standing in front of them for Mahsa Amini, for freedom, for liberty and against the tyrants in Tehran today – they expect action over virtue signalling.
Deport the terrorists. Isolate the brutal regime. Protect the communities. Free Iran.
Working for you in Ottawa
We live in the best country in the world, but I don’t recognize it anymore.
Let Canadians decide what kind of country we want. Carbon tax election. Now.
There is no confidence left in this government. Even Trudeau himself has lost confidence in his own Finance Minister. How humiliating.
Carbon tax election. Now.
Pro democracy and free speech advocate Jimmy Lai has been in prison since 2020 on trumped up charges under Beijing’s ludicrous “national security law.” The regime arrested him to send a message Hong Kongers fighting for democracy: Bow to the overlords of this regime or be imprisoned for being a “threat to national security”.
I met his son, Sebastien Lai, to see how we can help secure his immediate and unconditional release. 🇨🇦
We used to have a consensus in this country – when you came to Canada, you were welcomed with open arms in an effort to build a life better than the one you can ever dream of. But after 9 years, that isn’t true today.
Common-Sense Conservatives will bring back the deal – that if you work hard, play by the rules – you can get ahead in Canada and leave a better life for your family.
A $10 Billion sweetheart deal with your money for Mark Carney? Are they serious?
Conservatives stand with the people of Bangladesh during the unimaginable violence and persecution against religious minorities. The Liberals need to find some courage and stand up for democracy and the rule of law wherever it is threatened.
Bengali Hindus, Christians, Buddhists, and minorities continue to confront violent mobs. They continue to be subjected to unspeakable atrocities.
Thank you to those who travelled to Parliament Hill to make your voice heard – Conservatives under Pierre Poilievre stand with you.
An Immigration Minister who doesn’t even know how his immigration system works. Excuse us if Canadians don’t share your confidence in a system that continues to let in terrorists with no sign of stopping.
2023 was the 8th consecutive year that food bank usage rose – and by some great coincidence, was the 8th consecutive year of this Liberal government.
How many more people will the Government force into food banks before they start listening to Canadians?
Time’s up. Carbon tax election. Now.

I sat down with Mercedes Stephenson to discuss Conservatives’ return to Parliament and what you can expect from our team moving forward:
On the air with John Oakley – discussing just a few reasons why we have NO confidence in the government:
That’s everything that’s happening in my world. I’ll be sure to keep you posted on all the latest.
